Sliding scale hourly rate 120-160
The sliding scale model allows you to choose the cost that fits your budget. Please consider your privilege/class, race, gender identity, and your ability to make/budget/save money when choosing your rate. In the booking process you will be asked to specify an hourly rate between 120-160 that feels accessible to you. I will never ask you to prove or otherwise justify what rate you choose.
***I have a limited number of spots available each month for reduced or severely reduced pricing. These spots are meant to be accessible spots for folks who are BIPOC, Trans/NB/Genderqueer, or otherwise extremely marginalized. There will be space to specify your interest in these spots on my booking form.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold an appt and flash design. Link for deposit payment will be sent when I reply to your booking form. Deposits can be used for 1 reschedule (covid related or just a scheduling mishap) but any rescheduling beyond that or cancellation for any reason will forfeit the deposit and you will need to pay a new deposit to book with me in the future. Thank you for understanding.
colored ink tattoo
I have limited this option to one color per tattoo - i.e. a flash in all olive or all red. This is an aesthetic choice that will most likely not change.
I have prescribed designs that are available for color tests. These are meant to be a test for folks who are interested in getting a color tattoo from me later on. The color test swatch designs can be no bigger than 2 cm (about three quarters of an inch).
Color swatch test tattoos are on a sliding scale flat rate of $15-$80 and usually take 45 minutes to an hour. Again please consider your privilege/class, race, gender identity, and your ability to make/budget/save money when choosing your rate. These are meant to be a test for purposes of a color tattoo down the road. If you have no intentions of getting a color tattoo later on but simply want a cute small color tattoo, please consider paying on the high range of the scale.
I will want to wait at least 3 months between the color test and the larger tattoo in order for you to see how the colors heal.
The sliding scale model allows you to choose the cost of the tattoo that fits your budget. It is meant to make my work more accessible to those who would otherwise not be able to get tattooed at my $160/hr rate.
Please consider your race, privilege/class, generational wealth, gender identity and your ability to make/budget/save money when choosing your rate.
I will never ask you to prove or otherwise justify what rate you choose.
where do I fit on your sliding scale?
I accept card or cash (cash preferred) at the end of the appointment. NO venmo.
Most of the tattoos I do take between 2-4 hours. Arm/leg full wrap arounds can take between 3-5 hours depending on the size and complexity of the design. I am happy to provide a time estimate based on the specific flash, sizing and placement.
Color swatches usually take 45 min to 1hr.
how long does handpoking take?
Unfortunately, yes. There will be 10.1% sales tax applied to the final cost.
is there tax?
For my purposes, the term"Flash" is used to refer to any of my pre-drawn designs that are available to be tattooed. I do not repeat these designs and I do not do custom work. I allow VERY slight flash modifications on a case by case basis (ie adding/subtracting a line, filling in a circle, etc.) and we will discuss anything like that during the booking process and I will give a final word on whether I will make any minor changes. Current and available flash is in my instagram story highlights.
what does "Flash" mean?
